Unlock my Iphone as the contract is over

Please help me in escalating this. I am having a lot of difficulties as I am not able to unlock my Iphone. The contract for my phone was only until 08/04/2022 and it should not be locked by AT&T now.

I tried unlocking it online through AT&T website but it says "we can't unlock this device because it’s tied to an account that does not support device unlock".

If the phone was owned by a business, the business has to request the unlock on your behalf. Even if it is no longer tied to the business, AT&T sees business sold phones as always belonging to the business.

You just published all pertinent information on your account on a public customer facing for him. When you signed up you agreed not to do that. Please click on the three dots at the top right of your post and edit out everything personal including account number and IMEI number 🤦🏼‍♀️

AT&T phones do not automatically unlock, you have to request the unlock

Is this a second hand phone?

Was it previously owned by a business account?

Yes that site denied unlock (Please refer the below statement) and I am not sure what do they mean by that and what am I supposed to do to unlock my phone now

Is this a second hand phone?  No

Was it previously owned by a business account?  Yes it is a business/AT&T Premier account
