Unlock IPhone 6+

I had my unlocking request approved by AT&T, however, they do not seem to have told Apple as the phone continues to show as locked on Apple's servers and I get the message SIM not supported when I try to use my new carrier. Has anyone had any success in getting help from corporate-owned AT&T wireless stores to unlock phones?

corporate stores cannot assist with unlocking neither can the phone reps its all done online all they will do is point you to the unlock portal

The unlock process is all automated but sometimes the communication with Apple fails. First try requesting the unlock again. If it fails again, call and ask for advanced tech support. A store is unlikely to be able to help.
