unlock iphone 15 pro max before 60 days from the activation date

My iPhone 15 Pro Max shows 'SIM lock' in the About section and thus, I am unable to use another sim carrier. I bought this iPhone by paying the complete amount, but still, it is locked with AT&T. I am unable to call this number (+1 (800) 331-0500) as I'm currently in India. Can someone please help me in unlocking my iPhone? Is there any way I can unblock my Iphone before 60 days from the activation period? Please help me on this.

Did you submit an unlock request?

Do not use Gmail. Gmail aggressively filters email from computer and you will never get the email.  Yahoo email works.

Currently AT&t's unlock requirement include a 60-day from activation rule.  So I suspect you would be denied.

AT&T does not have any exceptions to the 60-day rule.

The alternative would be to use international day pass which charges $10 per day on any day you use service connected to a foreign network.  Day pass I'm consumer accounts is capped at 10 charges per bill cycle even if you use your phone for the entire bill cycle.

Travelers can reach AT&T for free when outside of the country by calling +1.314.925.6925 from their AT&T phone 24/7.

Thanks for the reply. I deleted the plan immediately as I thought I didn’t have any use for the AT&T sim. So now, I don’t have any SIM card plan active on my iPhone. How can I restore it back to call on toll-free number that you have suggested(+1 314-925-6925)?

And as per you, If I have to unlock it early, Do I have to pay 60 x 10$ per day = 600$?

The $10/day charges for international day pass is capped at $100 for each billing period, so for 60 days (two billing periods), you’d be charged between $200 and $300 depending on where you are in the billing period when you start using the IDP.

If you paid full price for the phone, you just need to wait 60 days after purchase.  There is no requirement for 60 days of active service.

  • Was paid in full when you bought it (it was not purchased on an installment plan). You must wait 60 days from your purchase date to submit an unlock request.

The active service requirement is only for if you bought the phone on installments, and then paid it off early.

But, if the phone was never used or activated on AT&T, you may have the problem that your IMEI may not be in the database, and the online unlocking portal won’t work, so you’d have to call them and try to get them to manually research the IMEI.

Regarding you deleting your eSIM, you may be able to log into your account and see if you can redownload your eSIM, but you can’t activate the eSIM unless you’re connected to AT&T’s network, so unless you plan on coming back to the U.S. to active your phone, your phone still won’t work.

At this point, your only real option is to wait the 60 days and hope you can unlock it then.

You have messed yourself up.

Deleting an  eSIM  does not terminate service. If your intention was to terminate (postpaid) service you had to call AT&T, and make sure that your last month's service was paid off.

And if you were using prepaid, that's a whole different problem. Prepaid requirements for unlocking the phone are 6 months of prepaid service, not 60 days.  If you purchase the iPhone and got any discount for activating it on AT&T, then 6 months of service are required to qualify.

And if your intention was to continue with AT&T service, you should never delete your e-Sim, all you had to do is turn it off if you didn't intend to use it.

How can I restore it back to call on toll-free number that you have suggested(+1 314-925-6925)?

You can't download and activate an esim out of the USA.  So no...

And as per you, If I have to unlock it early, Do I have to pay 60 x 10$ per day = 600$?

No.  That is not at all what I described. And you can't do that anyway because you deleted your AT&T SIM off your phone instead of just turning it off.

Postpaid users can use international day pass for 30 days, their entire bill cycle. But they only have to pay for 10.  ($100).  But because you deleted the ESIM instead of just turning it off you no longer have that option.

You're in a pickle dude. And if you're not planning on coming back to the United States you have a phone that's completely useless until AT&T unlocks it which is 60 days at the earliest 6 months at the latest.  Poor planning.

If you're going to purchase a phone outright you do not buy from the service provider because their product is not the phone. Their goal is to sell you service and to keep you as a customer by providing some sort of incentive, or roadblock in this case.

If your intention is to use service for a short period of time and then move on, you buy from the manufacturer.

Hi @ATTHelp

I have tried to chat with the support team, but they're saying without an AT&T phone number, they can not help with this. Is there any way, by which I can get my phone number by just using IMEI and EID and name?
