Unlock Company provided iPhone 7

Retiring, Company said I could keep my Iphone 7, since it was Company paid, I do not have last 4 digits of account number as required by ATT unlock portal. The phone is several years old, well out of any prior contracts. I want to move from ATT employer network and phone number to my personal number on Mint network.  The folks who managed my ATT Company account are in Mexico, and I cannot contact them easily. How can I proceed?

Try the unlock as a non-customer, so you don’t need any account information.  However, don’t be surprised if the unlock is denied because it’s still on the business account.  The company can tell you whatever they want about keeping the phone, but as far as AT&T is concerned, if a phone is on a business account, it’s there until the company removes the phone from their account.  If it’s still on their account, you’ll have to get the company to remove it, or perform the unlock.
