Unable to load Door Dash (Dasher App)

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 12 Max and now my Dasher app is unable to load. I worked with the Door Dash support team and they concluded that because I was able to connect just fine with WiFi and not with only cellular data turned on that it is an issue with my carrier. Not sure how to fix. It was not an issue at all with my old iPhone X.

Does cellular data work with other apps? Check settings and make sure that app is allowed to use cellular data.

Hello @HDeCherney, we want to investigate why you're unable to connect to the Dasher app using cellular data.

 

We'd love to thank our ACE @sandblaster for the suggestion of making sure the app is able to connect with cellular data.

 

We also advise for you to try these tips to help resolve:

  • Turn your phone off and back on. 
  • Make sure mobile data or cellular data is turned on.
  • Disconnect from Wi-Fi to test your mobile data.
  • Turn off airplane mode.

In the meantime, try troubleshooting your device using our device support tool. Reach back out to let us know if these steps helped. If not, we'd be happy to further assist you.

To gather a better understanding, we'll ask a few questions:

  • Have you tired deleting then re-downloading the app and accessing it again?
  • Have you checked to see if there are new updates for the mobile app including your cellphone?

Yes. As I have said, I have done ALL of the basic troubleshooting tips now several times. Everything has been updated. Everything has been deleted and re-installed multiple times. I have tried with and without wifi and cellular data.

Were you using AT&T with your iPhone X when it was working fine?  Does anyone you know have AT&T and the app, and is it working for them?  It seems impossible for an app to not work with one particular phone, but work with others, and that somehow be the carriers fault.  How could AT&T break that particular app (but no other app) on your phone, or block it from working on your phone only?  I’d suspect that there is something wrong with the phone more than something wrong with AT&T.

DoorDash works fine on my iPhone 12 running iOS 16.3. I just checked it.
