How is that an At&t issue?

If you want a new SIM card, you’ll have to request a replacement from AT&T.  Don’t really see how doing a factory reset on an iPhone (which is the correct process for when you lost the passcode) would mess with the SIM card.  Sounds to me like the “repair shop” did something sketchy and you need to take it up with them.  All AT&T can/will do is provide a replacement SIM.  If the phone needs repair you’ll have to talk to Apple, or take it up with your “repair shop”.

You did go back through the guided setup didn’t you?  Did you also restore from a backup?

🍧 It's officially Sunday!

Repair stores can't do anything for a screen lock that you couldn't do yourself, at home, for free.

Factory resetting the phone to remove the screen lock does not do anything to the SIM card. If you are having a problem using the phone it is more likely because you cannot activate it again because you do not know the iCloud account and password used to activate it the first time.

If you know the apple ID and password you activated the phone with, you should have no problem setting up the phone.

    Is this actually your phone?
