There are many wasy to address text spam @0000fdb6.
One way is by blocking them on your device. You'll find out how to do this in our Device Support page. Select the make and model of your phone and then select Block unwanted calls.
Report them to us directly via our online page.
Reduce SMS/MMS Spam Texts By:
Reply to unsolicited shortcodes with "STOP" in the body of the response to prevent future messages.
Block calls and texts from a specific 10-digit number by going to AT&T Call Protect.
If the calls continue, report the number to our online reporting site.

I received a message for 1410100001 today that appeared to be from Xfinity. I looked Online with AT&T here and it was indicated this was the AT&T e-mail gateway for e-mail and SMS. If I block this number, will it block all these services from my phone?

@Earnesto You can give it a try but I'm pretty sure the answer is no as anything coming through the email to SMS gateway has a different originating number each time. In other words, if they send another such text, it won't be coming from the same number and there is likely no way to block them all.

I have been getting text messages offering bad things (since you won't let me use the "s" word). They are group texts with 20 numbers and an email as the last contact listed. I have been forwarding to 7726, then you ask for the number from which it was sent, and I have no idea, so I send you the email. Also, there is no way on my phone to forward these texts to the abuse email address you give. These messages started last week and I am so offended. I can't believe ATT hasn't figured out a way to stop such a thing.
I have this problem, too. I receive texts daily from a different email address each time. I never reply because I’ve heard they will contact you even more if you show your number is valid. I’ve tried reporting these texts to the National Do Not Call Registry, but they do not accept these types of complaints because they’re from email addresses. I’ve tried forwarding the messages to 7726 and gotten the same canned response, wanting a phone number and not recognizing I’ve sent the email address of the spammer. I’ve tried asking AT&T’s customer service for help twice now with very disappointing results.
Via the chat feature in the AT&T app, I explained my issue and Bee said it was possible to block the texts, and said it was taken care of. That was a week ago and nothing has changed. I then called AT&T customer service 4/29/20 and spoke with a human and he was looking into my issue, but then I suddenly had a dial tone.
All I want is to block ALL email addresses from texting me. I think texts should come from phone numbers, that is all. I think we should have this option and we need to demand it.
How can we improve?
