Subpoena

Hi I have a question. Someone is trying to subpoena text messages from a att I phone and I have sent that person personal messages that I don’t feel anyone else should see subpoena or not.

That wasn't a question.

Not only is it not a question, it’s not something that AT&T can do anything about.  If they get a proper subpoena, AT&T will comply with it.

I don’t think ATT has anything to do with it. We know ATT doesn’t save texts, the only thing ATT can provide is the text log. Besides, it sounds like the subpoena is for the contents of someones’s iphone.

@sandblaster  is on point.

Carriers save text message content for a very limited time and then it's gone forever with no way to recover it. The text logs are saved for at least 7 years. In most cases in order to retrieve the actual text content law enforcements or legal professionals need to subpoena and obtain the actual device itself. Even though text messages may be erased, they're still on the hard drive of the phone somewhere, waiting to be overwritten.
