You have to submit an online request.

If the phone doesn’t meet eligibility requirements, it won’t be unlocked.

Hello, @ErikJr17. We understand the importance of getting your device unlocked, and we're happy to help.

As @dwill05 mentioned, you'll want to make sure that you meet these device unlock eligibility requirements:

  • The device cannot be active on another AT&T account.
  • If the device was purchased on an installment plan, the wireless number assigned to the device must be active for at least 60 days. You must also wait 48 hours after you make your final payment to submit your unlock request.
  • AT&T Prepaid phones with a Prepaid SIM must have at least six months of paid service to qualify for device unlock.
  • If the device was paid in full when you bought it (it was not purchased on an installment plan). You must wait 60 days from your purchase date to submit an unlock request.
  • Lastly, be sure the device hasn’t been reported as lost, stolen, or involved with fraud.

As long as your device has met these device unlock eligibility requirements, you can start your device unlock request.

Let us know if this helps!
