restocking fee policy
I don't understand the restocking fee policy of $35. I have been an AT&T customer for nearly 10 years and I have never returned a phone. However, given the size of the IPhone 6 Plus, I returned it yesterday in exhange for an IPhone 6 and was charged a restocking fee of $35. The phone was in excellent condition since I had used it for less than a week. Perhaps more egregious was the fact that my screen protector was completely non-refundable. I believe it cost $29.99. Thanks

The restocking fee has been there for years. Once the phone is issued, it cannot be sold as new, that is one of the reasons for the restocking fee, to recoup to cost of not being able to be sold as new.
Most accessories are not returnable once the packaging has been opened.
