Restocking fee — it’s your fault !

Bought iPhone 11 Max pro 2 days ago in ATT store. After a day of use, found an imperfection at the top right of the phone (a white streak between the bezel and the screen), can’t be clean without opening the screen. Went back to the store, the first question asked, did you double check the device when you purchase it ? By the way, there is a charge of $55 restocking fee to return and exchange an opened box. No way out, it’s your fault, it’s cosmetic in nature, how would we know you didn’t do it on purpose. Felt blamed, helpless and anger, succumbed to the $55 to return everything. Never buy any device at ATT store. They sell and forget. Very complicated financing. A lot of “but” in their return policy. Suggest to go with a company that is encouraging, helpful and strives for simplicity and transparency.
