Poor cell phone service

Hi! I have moved into a new apartment that has horrible cell phone service. Working from home makes this really difficult to work with. Wifi works great, but I don't want Wifi audio to be my only calling option. What can I do to boost my signal? I know there are signal boosters available on the market, but I find it wild to have to buy something to boost my cell signal in the high traffic area where I live.

Any help/suggestions?

Thanks!

We appreciate you reaching out.

With more details, we'll be able to assist you to the best of our ability:

  • Have you tried Resetting your network? If you have a iPhone it will be under Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Setting. If you have a Samsung it will be under Settings>Reset Network Settings>Reset Network Settings>Reset. After power cycle your device off/on.
  • Also, what's the zipcode in the area reside?

Hi Jonye,

I have tried troubleshooting but that didn't work, as well as reseting my network. I think it's my apartment that doesn't have good cell phone service.

My zip code is 11105.

I hope there's a way to help boost my cell signal. There are some days where I see "no service" on my phone and it's very frustrating.

Thanks for your help!

Likely AT&T isn’t going to do anything to boost your signal.  You’ll probably have to get a cell signal booster.  AT&T used to offer them, but I don’t think they do any more.

I've looked up cell signal boosters and they're quite pricey.

It just seems wild to me to have to pay for signal boosters. My monthly bill for AT&T is already high - now I have to pay additional costs for signal boosters in a bumpin' city like NYC? I'm paying for a service I'm not receiving. Just doesn't seem right.
