Official iPhone XS & XS Max Tracking Thread!

Hey Everyone!!

 

Another exciting year for us to get our hands on the all new iPhone XS/XS Max.  I can't waitttttttttttt to get my hands on the new 512GB Gold iPhone XS Max!!

 

So let's do the same thing we did last year. Answer the following: Which iPhone did you purchase (size & color), order date, what’s your current status, and what’s your estimated ship date??

Also, I will be keeping my eye on the actual Apple Store like last year.  I cancelled my pre-order and ended up getting my phone at Apple Store.  So ALWAYS keep checking their inventory!!

Also something weird that happened in my preordering experience was when placing the order and checking out i put down a different credit card to be charged instead of using my debit card that was on file. I kept checking the online CC pending transaction history ever since I placed my order to see if they would take out my money and they never did. To me, AT&T taking out the money was an indication that my order successfully went through so I began to get worried. However, in the email AT&T said the form of payment would be charged once it ships, and it obviously hadn’t shipped yet so I kind of stopped stressing it. Low and behold, I checked my account balance for the debit card I have on file for AT&T for something unrelated and I saw that they charged that card instead of the CC I specifically entered for them to charge. Imagine if I didn’t have the sales tax money on that card. The entire order would’ve been screwed up and it would be downhill from there. And of course i don’t expect AT&T to give me a courtesy ring about it. The order would’ve probably been stuck or cancelled. So if you haven’t been charged sales tax yet and you see that your status is still stuck after a few days, MAYBE that could be a reason why. Idk if I just happened to hit a glitch or something but it wouldn’t hurt to call or chat with customer service just to verify that your method of payment is correct if you don’t see any progress after a few days. Hope I could be of some help!

If you see the comparison videos of the 8 plus next to the XS Max, you will see that the XS max is Slightly smaller than the body of the 8 plus which is the same body size as the (6&7 Plus Series). Don’t let the bigger screen size scare you into thinking the phone may be too big. I think the XS max will be perfect. My order in progress ordered XS max 64GB after canceling regular XS after seeing the comparison. Ordered 9/15 4:04PM ET with estimated shipping for 9/21 still.

I ordered an iPhone XS Max Gold 512, 8 minutes after launch. Today’s date is 9/16 5:55 Central. Current order status: In Progress. Delivery by September 21.

 

Second order was placed 5 hours 6 minutes after launch. This one is an iPhone XS Gold 64. Today’s date is 9/16 5:55 Central. Current order status: Preparing to ship. Delivery by September 21.

I ordered mine and received an email last night telling me there was an issue with my order and I needed to call. Been on the phone this time for an hour and 20 minutes. The lady told me I needed to cancel my order and re-order because they got too many pre-orders. Needless to say I’m not happy. Still waiting on hold for a supervisor. 🤷‍♂️

Looks like mine showed up on UPS tracking.  It’s in ZhengZhou, China as of today.

 

Disclaimer:  I ordered from Apple, so shipping is quite different than order from AT&T.

Oh yeah another I can confirm. My friend is a store manager with AT&T .. he stated that the taxes being added on your next month bill is something new. That would explain why some of us didn’t have to pay taxes at all upfront. Last year I know I had to pay them but this year they give you an option.

Hello everyone. New to AT&T here (from Sprint with a 6 plus desperately in need of an upgrade). I ordered the XS Max online at 3:30AM, received my email confirmation and went to sleep.  On Friday morning I received notice that they couldn’t process my order and was told it had to be cancelled. I went to the store Friday afternoon and was able to pre-order and arranged to have my phone number ported (the website didn’t allow me to do this and I suspect this may have been the issue). I was still able to secure a 9/21 delivery thankfully.  Does AT&T ship phones with a signature required? I asked at the store but the sales agent didn’t know.  When I ordered from Sprint, they left the box at my front door, but I wasn’t sure if AT&T would do the same.  Figured I’d ask the experts here in case I need to stay home Friday! I see many people have had their status switched to preparing to ship but mine still shows in progress, albeit with a 9/21 delivery date.  Hopefully there is no delay. Thanks!

First welcome to AT&T. 

 

I was previously a sprint customer for 12 years so I know for a fact you will love the fact that you can merge people on a call and drop them off PLUS you can browse your phone service while on the phone. Lastly no more excuses about the towers are upgrading I’m your area crap. 

 

I don’t recall they require a signature or not. Previously I have authorized UPS & FedEx to leave my packages at my door for me. Because I simply don’t have time to hunt them down! I’m sure someone on here will be able to answer that question!! I would certainly checking the order status online. Ones will start getting shipped out Wednesday.
