Notification does not work for voicemail on IPhone 8 plus

I have a notification issue with my phone service. My voicemail notification does not rings like my text message when someone leaves a voicemail. I have worked with apple for 2 days. We have started with a new phone by removing my sim card, reseting the phone, reset the network and turn the notification on and back on this still did not fix the issue. From reviewing the internet it seems this has been an known issue and there has yet to be a fix for it. Can you please provide the correct fix for this issue ATT. Thanks

Let's look into what could be going on with those voicemail notifications for you. We advise that you make sure your voicemail notifications are active by following these steps:

On your iPhone, tap the AT&T Visual Voicemail app.
Tap Settings.
Tap Notifications to turn alerts on or off.

Additionally, if your issue persists despite the first steps, try the following:

From your AT&T wireless phone, press and hold 1.
1. If you have AT&T Wireless Home Phone, dial 1 from your connected home phone.
If prompted, enter your voicemail password.
If you have new messages, press the * key to skip to the Main Menu.
In the Main Menu, press 4 for Personal Options.
Press 1 to turn Voicemail Notifications On or Off.

Hello,

Appears to be related to iPhones, not the carrier they’re on. Apple has a great support app, Apple Support,t that allows you to chat directly with them (or call) and easily document the recommended fixes. Here’s one of a few threads in the issue: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8035455
