Not showing missed calls or receiving calls

I have the iPhone 6, it’s updated to the most recent software update 11.2.5 but since I’ve been using AT&T on this phone I got in October, it won’t show me my missed calls, voicemails or even receiving calls. Even if they’re in my contacts, I’ll go in my call log and see the missed call or voicemail but it never shows up in my notification bar or even when I’m on my phone. It’s very frustrating since most of the calls that I’m talking about are job offers I have or interviews. It doesn’t do this all the time but 90% every call from unsaved numbers to contacts this is happening too. The literal only contact of mine this doesn’t happen with is my boyfriends which doesn’t make sense.

Hello @amandapacheco!

I can definitely understand wanting to know at a glance when those calls come in.  I use my notification panel to keep up-to-date on just about everything.  Let’s find out what is going on.

There are few settings we will want to check on the device itself, to make sure something didn’t get enabled by accident.  This article from Apple has some great tips and areas to check.

The first thing we will want to look at is the alert styles and settings for notifcations.  On the iPhone, please go to Settings > Notifications.  You can select any app which is affected from the list.  In the case of calls, please choose Phone.  You will be able to adjust the banner, history and sound options.

Another thing to double-check is your Apple ID sign-in.  Sometimes this can get logged out, and will affect how the phone reacts to incoming calls.  Please also access the control panel by swiping up from the bottom of screen to check on the Do Not Disturb.

If this does not get the alerts showing correctly, please let me know.

Hi, there,

I am having a similar issue using the Samsung Galaxy S6. I receive voicemails, but there's no sign of an incoming call or any notification whatsoever of even a missed call. My boyfriend tried calling me this morning, and I had no clue of it. He described that he heard the phone ring twice then go straight to voicemail, as though I had declined the call. My log shows no sign of this. During this same period of time this morning, I received a voicemail from an individual, but no incoming call ever appeared on my device, nor does their call appear on my call log.

I have verified that Do Not Disturb is not enabled. Can you think of anything else?

Thank you,

Kat

Most definitely. I missed important calls and now I know it's definitely the carrier.
