Non-AT&T Customer Requesting Device Unlocked IMEI Number Not Recognized

I am not an AT&T customer, but my iPhone was recently replaced by the Apple, store locked to AT&T (the phone that was replaced was originally an AT&T phone but was unlocked before I purchased it). I have tried submitting a request to AT&T to unlock the device, but the IMEI number is not recognized. I have also tried calling and chatting, but no such luck as I am not a customer. 

 

How can I get in contact with a representative to help resolve this matter?

Not yet, I also private messaged the AT&T Customer Care account on here, so hopefully I can get in touch with someone soon! It seems like there is no solution to this problem we can reach ourselves, our best chance is to get in contact with an AT&T agent (but even that is a difficult task)!

So I was able to get it unlocked! The way to go is to private message the AT&T Customer Care account on here. They will be sure to get back to you and help with the issue. Be patient though, because they are a small team! I hope everything works out for you!
