No Credit History for an iphone $1000 each
Hi
Are there any loop holes to get a iphone 4g contract when you have no credit history. Ive just arrived in the US on a L1 visa and need two iphones. I called AT&T and they said I need to put a $1000 deposit for each phone. I work for a US company that has an affiliation with AT&T and yesterday bought a $20000 car on credit. Im confused to why AT&T need this much deposit.

I agree with satchev, buy a GoPhone meanwhile, build your credit history and then ask again for a postpaid service some months later. The deposit should be reduced or, if you're lucky, nullified.

I doubt the $1000 deposit has anything to do with the phone you chose, it's more a reflection of your lack of credit history.
You could get a GoPhone for a few months until you can build some credit history and then get your iPhone's.
There is no reason you need an iPhone. You simply want one.
Any phone would serve the purpose of providing you a means to communicate with others.
