New phone says no service

Got a new phone and on the top left it says “no service”. My old phone that I switching from still shows it is connected to AT&T network.

I can’t make any calls like this. Help. :/

Did you move the active SIM card from your old phone to your new phone, or activate a new SIM card if it was sent with your new phone?

thanks so much. They said they had activated it at the store but I supposed not. Went ahead and switched the cards out and so far so good. :) thanks again.

The phone went in the water so I got a new iPhone sc delivered to my home. II backed it up from icloud  and cant make any calls because it says no service
