New iphone wont connect

I got a new for me iphone (14) And it wont connect to cellular. I go to my accounts to activate new esim and it takes me to cell numbers and phones i dont have. My phone will not connect to at&t service

If you are trying to transfer an existing phone number onto the iPhone 14, you are not using the correct method.

You should be doing this process on the new phone with a Wi-Fi connection not in your online account.

This is a used phone?  Purchased where?  How?  

If this phone is still under installments, purchased by someone else on a separate account, it cannot be activated on any other account.

AT&T phones are not only service locked to AT&T until they are paid off, but they are restricted to the account that is financing the phone. You may need to return this phone and get your money back
