There is no code for unlocking an iPhone. Apple unlocks the phone via their activation servers when the phone connects to them. It may take a day or two for Apple to update their servers, but once they do, swapping SIM cards should cause a connection to the servers and unlock the phone. Deleting/restoring the phone should also force the connection.

Hello toila6congau, we're here to help get your iPhone unlocked.
As the ACE @dwill05 mentioned, there is no code for unlocking an iPhone. The approval just means Apple unlocks the phone via their activation servers when the phone connects to them.
Once Apple’s servers are updated, then the SIM locked status will change in the settings on your phone. If you're using a non-AT&T SIM, make sure that you’re connected to Wi-Fi when you install the SIM, so the phone can connect to the Apple servers if it isn’t already unlocked.
Let us know if this helps, and thank you for contacting the AT&T Community Forums.

@toila6congau Is this a different device than the one you said that you got approval for in the very first post? The message means that the device IMEI isn’t registered in AT&T’s database. Either it’s an old device and the IMEI has been purged, or it was never used on AT&T’s network. The only fix for that is to contact AT&T.

@toila6congau You said in the first post that you received an approval email for the IMEI. Why would would submit another request for the same IMEI? This makes absolutely no sense.

We are here to help with your device unlock request. @toila6congau.
As stated above by our agent and @dwill05, iPhone do not need an unlock code, so once it's approved all you need to do is insert the new SIM card from your new carrier.
Once approved, there is no need to submit a new device unlock request as your device is now unlocked.
Try inserting the new SIM and let us know how it goes. We look forward to your response.
