Need help unlocking device

I paid off my phone about 5 days ago. My device meets all eligibility requirements, but for some reason my request keeps getting denied. I spoke to someone yesterday who said they pushed my unlock through and to wait 24 hours and try again. Waited 24 hours and tried again as instructed, now I’ve gotten an email stating I’ve tried to unlock my phone too many times and I can try again in 30 days!? Can someone help me with this issue? I dont understand why this has been so difficult
