my SIM is Not Supported

After transferring data to my new phone i bought from AT&T, I got this message:

“This phone number can't be transferred because the number is not allowed by your carrier. Contact your carrier to unlock this device.”

My old phones settings do say the Carrier Lock has No SIM Restrictions.

This would indicate that your phone number is currently with a different service provider. It would also indicate you're trying to transfer your existing service providers service onto this phone and you can't because it's an AT&T locked phone. So I don't know whether you're with Verizon or T-Mobile or one of their MVNOs, but you need to port your number to AT&T.

To do that you need to provide AT&T with the account number and either Port pin or security pin code from your previous (essentially CURRENT) service provider.

I’m currently going through this nightmare for two days now. Every tech support- online chat/ in store/ by phone cannot fix it. Finally figured out this afternoon, after what seems like hundreds of attempts made by all these different people triggered a fraud lock on my eSIM. The reps in the store pretty much just activate phones, and their troubleshooting process is calling the same phone number I did and circle through “specialists” for hours with no resolve. However, we did discover the presence of a fraud lock on the eSIM, that only the fraud department can lift. Several transfers and an hour later, get in the queue for the fraud department just to find out that there are 2 fraud departments and we were transferred to the wrong one. That call ended with disconnection and they had to restart the phone process. I had been there hours at this point and had obligations with children and work, so I left the store while the tech was still on hold on the phone. Now the day is over and I still don’t have an active phone, starting day 3 now and no solution in sight.
