Is it safer to have Norton Security Premium installed on my iPhones?

The Norton Security Company sold me on upgrading from Norton 360 security software to Norton Security Premium, which according to them, allows me to protect my iPhones with security and privacy features in addition to my desktop and laptop computers.  I just would like to know from AT&T or Apple if that is true, that Norton Security Premium will provide protection while browsing on my iPhones?

@marcusmembrane: If you use “common sense,” and stay away from suspecious websites, don’t open junk emails, it’s unnessary to install Norton, or other anti virus programs to iphones.

Thanks, but you didn't really answer my question.  I am aware of the need to be careful with suspicious emails and links and such.  My  question was, is it MORE SAFE to have Norton Security Premium installed on my iPhones?
