Is it possible to unlock lost iphone 5 from att?

So you found an iPhone 5 and now want to unlock it?  Have you tried to find the owner for it?  

nope because the simcard is dead already and the phone is already reseted, just want to know if this phone is still usable or just a dummy phone now 

Usually if a phone is lost, the owner reports it to AT&T and the phone is blacklisted. Once it is blacklisted, it is unusable as a phone.

You can return it to a corporate AT&T store and they will be happy to try to return it to the previous owner and if they can't, they'll recycle it responsibly.
