iPhone XS Dual SIM - SMS sent from ATT SIM number, not the number I specified!
I have an iPhone XS with a EU carrier physical SIM and ATT eSIM.
For the most part everything works as expected. However, every so often when I send an SMS and specifiy to use the EU sim for the message, I get an error from ATT that the SMS cannot be delivered, incorrectly formatted number, etc. when I specifically told the phone to use the EU sim.
It seems as if ATT for some reason is hijacking some of my SMS texts and trying to send them, even though I've told the phone to use the EU sim.
Has anyone else seen this, and more importantly, know of a fix? It's maddening, as I cannot send texts to friends and business people. It only seems to happen here and there at random, not always, but once a number/contact starts getting mixed up, it seems almost impossible to fix.

Allow us to assist, @SurfNorway!
Try resolving your experience by re-seating your physical SIM card simply by removing and reinserting the chip into its slot. Also, make sure you've followed these instructions to specify which of your numbers to use for your calls with your contacts.
We hope this info helps.

Thank you Lar,
I've seen and followed those instructions, as well as tried re-seating the SIM.
The issue here appears to be a mismatched IMEI, and neither my EU or US carrier seem to know how to fix it. Nor does Apple.
Maybe I should just return the phone as defective and find something else.

Hi @SurfNorway
Since the physical SIM is with your EU carrier, Apple advises reaching out to them to see if your plan supports Dual SIM.
