iPhone X unlock request

I have been AT&T 5 years customer. I have purchased iPhone X from Bestbuy last year than connect AT&T. Now I want to change Verizon and the SIM can't activate. It was locked by AT&T and I have requested to unlock my phone . First, Technical team said 48 hours than it was still lock and they change 72 hours again . It was very bad. I have paid it all by retail price and not from AT&T at all . Why do they want my device ,money and waste my time .

Hello @ring.P,

We'd be more than happy to assist you with submitting an unlock request for your wireless device. Before submitting an unlock request on our Device Unlock Portal, please be sure to review our Unlock Eligibility Requirements to find out what's needed to unlock your AT&T phone. Let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

I had the same problem. The phone was purchased at full price from Apple in February. I added it to my line that had a payment plan for another device. Even though I've paid off that payment plan and this line no longer has any payment plan (installment plan), AT&T system keeps telling me my device has a payment plan and cannot be unlocked. I wait the 48 hours they request, then resubmit with no luck. I am getting very frustrated as I need this phone unlocked for an upcoming trip.

I am getting the same 'run around.'  I think its a scam and that ATT should be reported to the proper authorities (states attorney general etc.)

Been a customer for 15 years and got a HUGE runaround.  One lie after another from different ATT people.  Shameful.

Same here.I have my iPhone 6 for 6 years(paid off).Last Friday 3/8/19,I asked AT and T to unlock my phone and told me unable to unlock and has to wait for 24-48 hours and it should be fix on 3/12. I called them again today and it said can’t unlock and I have to wait 24-48 hours again and he told me that he’s been working for 11 years that it’s his first time to encounter that he can’t unlock the phone and even told me he talked to the manager and now he gave me another case number and refer to IT department.

AT and T staff wake up, don’t play around with us, we are paying on time.

What a shame.

My mother in law has been deceased for a year now, and because we didn't need the phone it was no big deal.  Now we can't use the darn thing because we don't know her passcode.

@dencalla  If you’re talking about the passcode to unlock the screen on the iPhone, AT&T has nothing to do with that.  That’s Apple.
