Iphone, how much for insurance replacement?

I dropped my iPhone 5c in the toliet it has water damage to the screen and the camera. I have insurance that I pay on the phone. I was just wondering how much it would be to get a new iphone?

Hi @Valeriejenice

I’m sorry to hear of the accidental damage! I’d be happy to help! An insurance claim for an iPhone 5c would indeed carry a $199 deductible, however, depending on how long you have had the mobile insurance feature claim-free, you may qualify for a discounted deductible.

At 6 months since the last claim or insurance start date your deductible lowers by approx. 25%.

At 12 months since the last claim or insurance start date your deductible lowers by approx. 50%.

To file an insurance claim, head to Asurion’s claim site!

I hope this helps!

Apologize. For Assurion you pay $199 deductable, and the replacement phone maybe a "refurbished" phone. Apple Care+ is the same deductable if I'm not mistaken, do not know if refurbished phoneSmiley Wink

It all depends upon your insurance. Most of the insurance sold through AT&T has a $199 deductible on the insurance, so if that's what you have, expect to pay about $200. I haven't had the insurance through AT&T for years, so I don't know exactly what the current terms are though.
