iPhone Failed Calls
I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I'm getting a lot of failed calls lately, I've read some of the topics on this and turning on/off Airplane mode usually works. However, I have to do this almost every day. Is there a more permanent fix? I live in the SF Bay Area.
Thanks

Hey there @johnvlahos. Let us help you with your failed calls.
In addition to the previous agents post, are you experiencing failed calls only in the SF Bay area or other areas as well? You can check the coverage in your area by entering your address, state or zip code.
You can change your cellular network settings by selecting the Settings app > Select Cellular to turn cellular data on or off, then select the Cellular Data switch.
Note: To turn LTE data on or off select Cellular Data Options > Enable LTE > desired option. Learn more from the Apple support article About cellular data settings and usage on your iPhone.
Also, can you let us know when this starting happening? This will help us with some of our next steps.
We look forward to your response, so we can help get to the bottom of this.

@johnvlahos Do you have a 5G plan? When we lived in the Bay Area I just kept my iPhone 12 on LTE only because 5G was just not reliable in all areas that we would travel to. WiFi-C was always enabled, as well as WiFi, so when we were in an area of low cellular signal, and WiFi was available, we could still make/receive calls.

Thanks Otto - call failures seem to happen on both Wi-Fi and direct cellular connections.

Then I would try Reset Network Settings as mentioned above and have all of your login info available in case you have to re-enter some or all of it again. You also might want to install a new SIM if you have a 5G plan and didn't do that initially.

Hi - yes I've tried over Wi-Fi and direct cellular - doesn't seem to make a difference. I also reset network settings and had the same issue a few minutes later.
Thanks for all the suggestions...

Hi there @johnvlahos, let's meet in a Direct Message to take a look at those dropped calls by locating the bell icon in the upper right corner.
In the meantime, I will take a look at @OttoPylot stated about getting a new SIM card for your device.
We look forward to chatting with you soon. Thank you for reaching Community Forums.
