iPhone 8+ Signal Issues

I have had the IPhone 8+ since October, give or take, and the signal strength is terrible. The only chance I have at 3 or more bars is if I’m climbing a cell phone tower or somewhere with a signal booster. I previously owned an iPhone SE and had none of these issues. Signal was very good. Live in the same house, etc. Calls weren’t dropped, voices not muffled, or going in and out, etc. I literally cannot remember the last time I had a conversation without dropping a call. What are my options? Please don’t say network or service issues or a loose SIM card. My wife has a galaxy S8 with the same provider. She is next to me with full signal, I have one bar.

Hello @daveplough,

Welcome to the Community Forums! I definitely understand where you are coming from, and can provide your options for you.

If you already tried resetting the phone and you are still having issues, then it may be a good idea to look into getting a replacement under warranty. You can do this as long as the device has no physical or liquid damage.

If you haven’t reset your network or tried the troubleshooting, let me know and we can try it.

Hello @daveplough,

Of course! You would need to start by contacting the manufacturer to take advantage of using their warranty. You can do this here.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

I have reset it. Soft reset, factory reset, network reset...all of them. Nothing has worked. I’m not sure if I have a warranty?  Thank you for your help

Hello @daveplough,

No problem! It should still be active if you got the device back in October, as phones normally come with a one year manufacturer’s warranty.

Could you direct me on how to go about this or how to get this process started?

I am having the identical issue and took your advice and Apple replaced my phone. I am back home and having the same issues. Sitting next to my husband who has Verizon and fully functional. My AT&T phone shows "no service". When I had my iPhone 6, no issues. Same issue whether I am on the internet or just using 4G
