iPhone 7 Plus Shipping Dates

I ordered an iPhone 7 Plus 128gb jet black right when they were available at 3am. Shipping date said September but after I checked out it said October 21. The representative on the phone 2 days ago told me it would be at my house on release day, September 16.

Is this normal for the shipping date to be messed up? Did this happen to anyone else? I just got off the phone with a representative and she couldn't tell me anything.

I also haven't received an email confirmation yet.

Hello Community,

 

Although the iPhone 7 launch event is behind us, we still receive a lot of views on this thread and subsequent calls into our centers.

 

The order will typically show in progress until it has been shipped out. The estimated shipping dates are based on the time that you ordered the device, and where you are at on the list. That is just an estimated date and it may change. The device may ship out sooner than listed.  

 

How you are notified when your phone is shipped or status of your order?!

  • Email notification - You will receive an email when your device is shipped. It will include tracking. 
  • Text Message - You will receive a message stating that your device is on the way! 
  • Online - Check the status of your device by entering your order # and zip code. 
  • Via Text - Dial *ORDR# (*6737#) and press Send. Follow the options via text messaging.

My order shows in progress, pending, or order open. What does that mean? 

  • In Progress - An item ordered may not be in stock. You can cancel this order.
  • Order Open - Terms & Conditions were not accepted. Log into your account and complete the transaction.You can cancel this order.
  • Pending - order is under review. An update provided within 48 hours. You may be able to cancel this order.
  • Partially Shipped - Only some of the items in the order shipped. The remaining items ship separately as they become available. You can cancel items not shipped.
  • Cancelled - An order may have canceled because: payment was not finalized, the order was incorrect, or credit related issue.
  • Shipped - Your order is on the way! Keep an eye out for an email!

 

Order Status is available 24 hours after placing the order.

 

NoteShipments are dependent on the stock of the device. We do our best to make sure we have enough to ship out. Sometimes the popularity and demand can outweigh the supply. The device will be shipped out as soon as possible! We appreciate your patience! 

 

If your phone is out of stock, not to worry. You can cancel the order, create a new one and pick it up in a store if it is available there! 

 

How to cancel your  order?

  1. Go to Check order status page
  2. Enter the order number and ZIP Code used to place the order.
  3. Select the specific order you wish to cancel.
  4. On the order status page, if available, select the link to cancel order or cancel item. If you don’t have the ability to cancel an item online, contact us.
  5. Follow the prompts to confirm your order cancellation.

Can I change my shipping address?

No, the delivery addresses cannot be changed after an order has been placed.

Why? Did the same thing happen? The lady I just talked to said that the date could change once the orders get processed. Other than that she had no idea.

Ordered iphone 7plus 128 gb jet black at 3:34 et already 10/14 to 10/21 guess they had a short supply lol , wife ordered 7 plus 128 gb rose gold will be delivered on 9/16  , anybody got earlier date for 7 plus jet black 128gb

Hi all. I pre-ordered the iPhone 7 Plus in Jet Black in the 256GB configuration early this morning. I got on the website at around 2:45AM Eastern Standard Time and was done before 3. My shipping slot listed unfortunately as September 30-October 7. I'm not too worried because in the past I've had even later shipping dates for the plus models and still recieved it on release day, but I wanted to see if anyone else ordered my exact configuration and got earlier/later shipping times, and also at what time those people ordered.

 

Also as a tangent, I still have not recieved my order confirmation email, but I called the business premier support line and entered my wireless number, and they definitely have the order on file. Anyone else experience something similar to this?

Yes last year the entire waiting process was very comical on this forum. Every year AT&T does this and people complain about them. However, AT&T swoops in and save the day and people start receiving shipping information Thursday and get it Friday or on Friday to get it Monday. Don't worry I've been at this process since iPhone 5 and every year same thing.

ordered at 3:22am EST and it says September 30 to October 7th. 7plus 256 Jet Black.

 

what is frustrating is that I recently left a shared account with my wife and went to my own account and decided to go into a store yesterday just to make sure that I wouldn't have any problems with ordering and to get a better rate plan. After 30 minutes in the store, they said everything looked great. Fast forward to 3:06am when I was finally able to get access to the Apple Store via their App, I had everything ready and ordered but the app said my zip code of last 4 of my social were not matching. I made sure all that was correct a few hours earlier. I was eventually able to download the ATT app and order it there at 3:22am but I could have had it on the 16th if the store had done their job when I went in.

 

I called 611 to confirm the date and 41 minutes on hold later, I was told their systems are updating and they cant do anything and when I asked if it was possible to cancel and just buy in store without ruining my eligibility I was told "pfft good luck with that". Remember when people worked hard because they actually wanted a job?

I just placed an order for iphone 7 and told its going to be shipped to be during November.

 

So I tried to cencel it to call a customer service but they told me they can't do anything about a pre-order for an iphone.

 

I don't think it makes sense. Please help. How can I cancel it?

@nansul and ANYONE else who is worried about these shipping dates. DO NOT cancel your orders. For those of you who have not been through this pre-order process several times it can seem a little scary to see shipping dates backed all the way through to Novemeber. This happens every year and every year people get scared. However, these is the 3rd year I have pre ordered an Iphone and I promise if you keep your original pre-order you should have your phone on release day. In fact, let me tell you a tale of the one year I did cancel my pre-order back when the 6 came out. I preordered online within 30 minuest of the phone coming out, my shipdates showed November 21-28, I paniced. Went to my local ATT store and they told me to cancel my pre-order and order through them and they would have my phone early morning on release day. So I did, long story short the ATT store didnt recieve my Iphone until late October and everyone online who listed their dates as November started posting that they recieved their Iphones on release day. 
Stay calm, be patient with the estimated dates, you'll get your Iphone.

Yes, you will get the iPhone.  But it might be a Christmas present.  If the last 2 years are any example, you are better off walking into a store on release day.

Last year the 128 gig version was back ordered till end of December.

I pre-ordered an iPhone 7 plus 128GB model in jet black on ATTs website at 3:40est and it told me that my phone is scheduled to be delivered Oct 14 - 21. The status online said "in progress". I look at it this morning at it just now and the site says my order was placed at 12:28est (which we all know wasn't possible) and the status says "preparing to ship". I also have done this every 2 years since the iPhone 2 and trust me majority of people who order in the first 2 hours get their phones on launch day or with two days of launch day. It's always a mad house in the forums though. Be patient is my only advice. Well that and keep checking your order status.

Apple has the jet black model pushed back 3 to 4 weeks.  Everyone wants the new color.  I can order any other color in 128gb and get it on the 16th on apples site.  New color means people want it.

AT&T Shipping dates require advanced skills in dark arts to understand.  There are many factors which impact your shipping dates, like if you have a FAN discount (employer discount) on your account, if you are purchasing in store, or if you are purchasing online.  The business team that handles all the accounts with employer discounts works with its own device pool, as does the online orders, and the in-store sales.  This means that the exact phone you want may be available in store before it ships to you if you have an employee discount.  Regretfully, it appears that the majority of AT&T customers have a FAN discount, and fall into this special group that are handled by the business customer section of AT&T, so this has historically caused delays and confusions.

 

For the first time, I pre-ordered direct through Apple this year.  For the last 2 years, I walked into an AT&T store on release day and was able to walk out with my phone without pre-ordering it (it helps that I generally get the highest storage capacity) and before that, I got my name on an in-store waiting list at Apple Stores to get my iPhones.  I had gotten confused about the pre-order dates/times and thought it was supposed to open tonight, not last night, so I didn't pre-order until almost 11:00am.  I got ship dates of 9-16 from Apple for the 256GB black (for myself) and 256GB rose gold (for my wife).  I could have even gotten a 128GB Black (not Jet Black) with the 9-16 delivery date, if I wanted one.

I ordered 7 plus 128 gb in black around 4:45 am and the shipping date is between sep 23-30. I got confirmation email hours later during the day. Do you guys think I still might receive it on release day?

@ksc.83 I finished my order on AT&T's website by 2:50AM Eastern, which is 11 minutes before the pre-orders even are supposed to start. I also got the 256GB jet black 7 plus. Mine also says September 30-October 7th. Every year I order right away and get ship dates in October or later, but then it delivers on launch day. They just give the most popular models later starting ship dates so that they're not responsible in the case that they actually do have to ship it that late, but it has always come to my door the morning of on release day. You have no need to worry.
