iPhone 7 phone calls and loss of audio

Hello,

I have had my iPhone 7 since it got released. In the last 1-2 weeks, I started having a lot of problems with calls. I either get "call failed" errors or the audio gets lost (I can't hear the other person / they can't hear me.) The problem appears to be growing.

I would appreciate your help!

Hi, @RTiPhone,

We can understand your distress. Try a restart to set things right, Press and hold the Volume Down and the Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple logo, then release both buttons. If you iPhone is still having issues with calls after that, check to see if the iOS has been updated and, if not, update it.

If the iOS is up to date and you're still having issues, sign into your myAT&T account and use the AT&T Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool to check your iPhone. Follow the steps provided to find the cause and resolve the issue. let us know if this helps.

ME TOO!! I am on my...let’s see...3rd or 4th replacement insurance phone due to my original iPhone 7 dying in exactly the same way! Of the multiple replacements, 2 have had identical issues! This will be my last 7 as 3rd party repairer said yesterday it’s a defect in the 7’s mother board that Apple will not admit to, despite being well known and documented in the industry. They suggested replace over repair due to high costs of mother board and good chance it will happen....AGAIN!

Insurance phones are usually refurbed phones, not factory originals. My wife's iPhone 7 was first used by our daughter for quite awhile and she gifted it to my wife, who has been using it for a long time with zero issues.

Are your call quality issues only at home or are they anywhere you go?

My original iPhone 7 was NOT an insurance phone and it lasted just past then1 year mark. My 4th replacement is in process. There is no call quality issue as I cannot hear others and they cannot hear me! Then the phone quit ringing. They work, until they just quit! And I can watch Netflix but if I put in my ear buds, there is no sound! There is aleo a funky blue line at the bottom of my screen.

Contact Apple. It is their product after all, not AT&T's.
