iphone 7 not receiving texts from Verizon Android users

a week ago my iphone 7 stopped receiving all sms/mms text message from Verizon droid users.  I seem to be able to receive all imessages from all service plans and texts from all att phones regardless of type - but I have three people who are verizon droid users I haven't been able to receive a text from since.  They can receive mine.  

 

However in group chat with a verizon iphone user and 2 droid users (one verizon one att) I can ONLY see the text messages from the ATT Droid user since the iphones texts become sms in that group text string.

@lindsaybethg I had this happen in the past and there's a few things you can try:

 

1. Reset your network networks; click Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings

2. Make sure nothing changed with your SMS/MMS settings; click Settings -> Messages... make sure Send As SMS is ON, MMS Messaging is ON, and Group Messaging is ON

3. Delete your current Message threads on YOUR PHONE and have the members of the group delete their message threads also... try sending your messages again.

4. Lastly... call AT&T and start a Network Troublshooting ticket to where they can look deeper into the issue.

I know it can be difficult when trying to diagnose a text messaging issue which seems carrier specific. No worries, though. I’d be more than happy to help out and offer some additional assistance to remedy this situation!

 

Thanks a lot @JohnnyDoe for your awesome suggestions! I agree, I would start by resetting the network settings on your iPhone and ensuring all your Message settings are enabled correctly. Since iMessages are not sent the same as SMS, I would make sure you have an active text messaging plan. You can do this by visiting your myAT&T account.

 

I would recommend disabling iMessage on your iPhone, and then try to receive SMS from the numbers giving you problems. Ensure Send as SMS is enabled. You can also send the word TEST to 151, and see if you receive a response. If you do, your text messaging is working correctly.

I have been experiencing that exact same issue on my iPhone X (Verizon).  My iPhone 6s (Att) receives all texts just fine...from everyone on every phone and network...but my Verizon iX doesn’t receive ANY texts from 3 different Android users.  I set up msg forwarding on my ATT 6 to my Verizon phone, and still, those same Droid users’ messages DO NOT COME THROUGH ON THE VERIZON PHONE.  This is a huge problem.

I am having the same issue on AT&T. I have an iPhone 7. I am not receiving group messages from users, if the group has a mix of iPhone and Android / non-AT&T users. The group messaging feature used to work fine till 2 months ago.

AT&T iPhone 7 not receiving texts from Verizon Samsung Galaxy 7? Always worked up to 2 weeks ago? Att tech support did some checks on my end, no issues?
