iPhone 6s Plus Shipping dates

Why is iPhone 6s Plus shipinng dates are Oct 16 - Oct 23 ? While on the Apple.com it shows delivers 25th... I already ordered from premier site, since I had no choice as I dont have ATT Next and do not wish to move to it. But why is the ship dates are so far out for the 6s Plus via ATT ?

I really hope it changes, but I have a bad feeling about this.....

I was able to get my order in before 3am for 2 iPhone 6s Plus with confirmed shipinng dates of Oct 16 - Oct 23? I called the local ATT store this am and talked to a rep there. He told me they do this in case there arent enough phones available from Apple for Sept 25th. Makes some sense, then again I better not have waited up all night to pre order and have to wait 3 more weeks, when Apple just this morning was still offering them with delivery on the 25th of September. Something smells a little funny but I will wait and see. Looking at the time I made my order I would assume that I should be one of the first to order the new iPhones and thereby get them on the release date. Time will tell.......

Seems like this is mostly a 6s plus problem and iphone 6s (regular) are being shipped earlier, my friend got confirmation he will get his 6S on the 25th

As of right now I think I will probably give the 25th a chance and then go and stand in line at att on the 26th.

I ordered

I ordered a couple minutes after my friend at 12:38 PST through att.com after being unable to submit my order on the phone app

Also, if you want to cancel your order with AT&T to pick up the phone in store you will have to cancel within 24 hours of ordering, once the order reaches their wearhouse they can't do anything about it

I have reached multiple agents through Live Chat and over the phone and they all confirmed what an agent told me this morning that due to the overwhelming pre-ordering the system just reflects a different date of shipping which for me is (October 16th - October 23rd) but in reality I will get the device earlier than October which like I said before I hope is true we shall see!

I'd like to share this with you all and hopefully it will give some of the early orderers such as myself some confidence.  Thank you Angela B. from AT&T webchat

Angela B.: Hello, thank you for chatting with AT&T today. My name is Angela. How may I assist you today?
Me: Are delivery dates really this poor for iPhone 6S plus with my preorder being almost immediately after preorders open? Or is there a glitch in the ordering system?
Me: I am reading on your forums that I am not the only one with this issue
Angela B.: I do apologize for that inconvenience, David. An order does take 1-2 business days to process. An order ships upon availability of the product. Priority shipping does not expedite the processing time of an order. The dates provided are generated automatically applied.
Me: There are a lot of people extremely dissatisfied that we were shown before we placed the order that the order would deliver on release (September 25th)
Me: Once we placed the order seconds later it changed to mid october. Apple's website still reflected inventory for 8 hours after I placed my order
Me: Of the exact same model phone
Angela B.: The devices became available at midnight pacific time.
Me: I placed the order at 3:07am EST
Me: which is 12:07 PST 6 minutes after they became available
Me: Apple's website showed inventory until at least 10am EST
Me: Which I apologize is only 7 hours.
Angela B.: I understand your frustration but the release date for that phone is not until September 25th.
Me: I understand that. Is there going to be a plan in place to attempt to fulfill these orders which were shown as a September 25th delivery until we actually placed the order and no longer had the ability to order through Apple?
Me: I understand there are system glitches ect.... All I'm asking is what is going to be done to rectify it? I feel like I was misled and would not have placed an order through you guys had the system accurately reflected an inventory status that had not changed for 7 hours after I placed my order.
Angela B.: Yes that is when they are shipping out.
Angela B.: The orders are shipped and processed on a first come first serve basis, and also depending on inventory levels as they change daily.
Me: September 25th is when they are shipping out?
Angela B.: September is the release date, so yes phones will be shipped out that day depending on inventory levels as they change daily.
Angela B.: Once you order is shipped out you will get an email with tracking information.
Me: Ok, thank you.

I'm in the same predicament I couldn't order from the apple app cause I didn't want to do att next or pay straight out so I go to Att website and it says 0ct 16-23 I pray it's a mistake

Ordered mine at 2:56 am eastern time which is equivalent to 11:56 PM eastern time... thats a few minutes before offical preorder time and i still got the shipping estimate of mid to late october.... al though it could be a little frustrating <<<<<<>>>>>>

Last year i had the same experience and received the device 2 days after launch date so hopefully it will be the same this year.

I received the same ship date on the 6s+ as everyone else - mid to late October.  My concern is that I read somewhere that AT&T is selling a different model of iPhones this time than everyone else - different even than the AT&T iPhone you'd get in the Apple Store.  It doesn't have a CDMA antenna but instead has a better LTE antenna.  So, if they have a different model, it's possible that this particular model is going to be constrained.  (Not sure why it wouldn't be the same thing for the regular 6s though). I hope I'm wrong and we'll all be getting the 6s+'s on launch day!

I just got off The phone with one of the reps I finished ordering my iPhone 6s Plus at 3:20 AM in my shipping date said October 16 through October 23 I called and they told me that I won't be receiving my iPhone that late! I will be receiving my iPhone between September 23 and September 25 no later than September 25 so I guess it was just a glitch just because there's so many processing pre-orders

Can you please share with us where you read that?? Doesnt make sense for Apple to sell one model and ATT to sell another, since the end result is to use on the same carrier.....
