iPhone 6s plus question

I bought a broken screen iphone 6s plus 128gb rose gold on craigslist for $200 ... Assuming I could fix and use it.. Paid to have the screen replaced , I tried factory reset and it still has a lock on it. It's carrier is att.

Is is there a way I can buy a warrenty through apple , and have the imei reset by a third party company, and use the phone with a sim for att?

No, you won’t be able to get any additional warranty coverage from Apple. Presuming you can get past the activation lock, yes you can use the phone on ATT provided it hasn’t been blacklisted.

What kind of “lock” are you talking about? Activation lock? Since it is craigslist, most likely you got ripped off.
