iPhone 6 64GB Silver --- Shipping date vs. actual date

So I just ordered my iPhone after calling to every At&t store in my area for a new iPhone. I understand there is demand, but you would think they would have more of a hand on it with it being a couple months since the crazy ordering spree. Anyway, I seriously needed a new phone seeing as my iPhone at the moment restarts randomly, the power button does not work, and it will print lines of code across the screen. So after the wild goose chase, I decided to order my phone from At&t, after reading some of the forums I'm beginning to worry. It says that it should ship 11/18-11/28. Are these days accurate or will it take longer? I'm just worried my phone won't last until then, and during the week of Thanksgiving I am home from college which means I won't be at my apartment to pick it up so I am hoping it comes sooner rather than later. Anyone have insight?

I ordered a 64GB plus in Gold on 10/23. Mine always said preparing to ship. I checked last night and it was shipping from Memphis, TN. I live in GA. I love that I'm getting mine, but I don't understand AT&Ts system for 'first come first serve' or lack thereof. You guys that ordered a month before me should demand a credit to your bill or something.

I received a message from ATT on November 13 that they would put a priority on my order and then on November 14 I received notice that it was shipped Fedeal Express. Can't Wait!

My order status changed from processing shipment to preparing for shipment and I talked to someone at AT&T and they said they can't give me a specific date but it should be between the two shipment dates

I ordered my 6P 128GB on 9/19. Stood in line at 5AM and they only had five 6P's in stock and the first five customers bought them, so I had to order. My ship window was 11/9 - 11/27. There's only a week left in the ship window and no CSR has any answers. I've read on other forums that people are already backordered past their ship windows, so I canceled my order today. I've already found phones at two Apple stores near me. The fact that AT&T has no answers via @ATTCares (Twitter), Facebook or AT&T Support Chat has made me decide to leave them altogether. I'll likely switch to Verizon their rate plans are relatively the same, but they're rated a lot higher in Customer Service than AT&T according to sites like CNET and TopTenReviews. AT&T wasn't even in second place, if that gives you any idea of how much they really care.

 

To be completely honest (and I hope someone from AT&T reads this), if they had been up front with me about the backorder situation, instead of playing dumb and just reiterating what their site says, I would've probably tolerated it. I should have probably learned my lesson when I got my iPhone 5, because I went throught the same thing.

LOL! OMG! this happend to me too. don't know what to say but LOL!

very poor service, they canceled my order too. right now i have 4 lines with them two regular and two smart phone. ust upgrade to 5 lines all smart phones and order 5 new phones back in Oct now they canceled my order, i call AT&T to find out why and all they can tell me is that the order in the system over 30days so it automatice cancel the order if not shipp with in 30days it their problem that they can't ship the order out within 30days not my i was and sure a lot of other willing to wait like they state will be shipp from 30-38 business days so they need to fix their system so the order will not cancel now it on us.  that is not it they already took my payment for the tax on the phones plus the urgraded on the acct. which we didn't have the the divides yet.  they charge me for the new services already and we don't even have the phone or activate to us it yet.   I am still waiting for AT&T to call me but know it will not happen.   this is so sad.

I called CS. Nothing they can do. They say all are on backorder. Its been since day 1 i ordered my phone.. I expect another mass email saying it will be past christmas.. Bad planning on both ends. AT&T / Apple

My shipping window was between Nov 21st thru the 28th. It actually was delivered on the 24th.  And you'll love it when you finally get it.  Enjoy.

It seems the wait times are getting worse! I order my 6+, space gray, 128gb on 10/18 with a shipping window of 11/26-12/8...still stating order is "preparing to ship". My co-worker who has Sprint ordered her phone (the exact same phone) this past Sunday (11/23) and her phone was delivered today in the SNOW STORM!!! I am thoroughly disgusted and more than a little annoyed. Now i get the whole 6 plus thing, clearly it is aptly named for the timeframe in which you can expect to get your new phone. That difference in shipping times between the two companies is unacceptable.

 

...however it is probably because Sprint has no customers left, so it makes sense that they have it in stock. I'll use smoke signals and carrier pigeons before I ever go back to that company.
