iPhone 5s and HD voice

A friend told me that after Jan1 2020 my iPhone 5S will no Lindbergh supported because it does not have HD voice capability. Is this true?

@Bccurren   3g shut down is not expected until end of 2021.  You have plenty of time before you need to upgrade

I think your friend is referring to the 3G shutdown that is pending for AT&T. AT&T has said it will happen but hasn't publicly given any firm date for when. I know the iPhone 5S does have LTE capability so I'm pretty sure it's safe even after the shutdown.

Nope the 5s is not volte compliant.  So it's not safe.  No more 3g only and non volte compliant phones will be activated after 1/1/2020.
