International

Hi,

I used to stay in the US as an international student and got a postpaid plan to pay my phone throughout 24 months and it is a locked phone but now that i am outside i need to get it unlocked so my question is if i pay all what is remaining for my phone bills at once would i get my phone unlocked even though i am outside the US and there’s no service for at&t here ?

Thank you

If you pay all you owe, including the phone, and close your account, your phone will be eligible to unlock in a few days.  (Our experience is it can take time).  You could have, and should have done this before you left, it would have been so much easier.

After your paid up:   https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/#/

The “contact us” link has international numbers you can call

You only need to pay off the obligation on the phone but I am not sure how you can do it since you are out of the US. You should have paid off and unlocked your phone prior to leaving the US
