International Day Pass on iPhone set up as a Hot Spot for access by iPad

I will soon be traveling (in Italy, to be exact), and just set up my iPhone with the International Day Pass.  Now let's presume that while traveling, I set up my iPhone as a hot spot, and connect to it via WiFi from my iPad.  If I then either make a voice call or make a FaceTime call back home, will the data usage be covered under my iPhone's international day pass?
