We are loving our in car wifi and it works flawlessly on everything EXCEPT Whatsapp Video Calls. It won't connect. Facebook and Zoom calling works fine. Whatsapp messaging works fine BUT Whatsapp Video Calling does not work. What can I do to fix this issue? It's very specific and I can't find any answers about it online. The phone is an up to date Iphone 8 plus.

We are here to help you see why you are unable to use Whatsapp calling when connected to your in car Wi-Fi, @Risca.

We understand how important it is to use your favorite apps. If you car Wi-Fi services are working well with other devices and apps, this connection error must be coming from Whatsapp. Whatsapp is not designed to be used with proxy and VPN services as they do not support those configurations. You can contact Whatsapp Support for additional information.

We do appreciate you reaching out to us with your concerns. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums. Please feel free to reach back out with any additional questions you may have.

To fix WhatsApp video call issues with in-car WiFi, try these steps: 1) Restart the iPhone and car WiFi system. 2) Update WhatsApp to the latest version. 3) Check WhatsApp permissions for camera and microphone. 4) Reset network settings on the iPhone. 5) Ensure no VPN or firewall restrictions.
