Weel, it would cost the price of the iPhone 6 Plus, since you would have to pay for it in full, off contract, so you would be talking $799/$899/$999 depending upon the capacity, plus taxes, etc. Once you have paid that, and meet the other requirements, then you should be able to get the unlock process completed (without additional costs) by AT&T.

Figure two business days to be safe. Try your SIM again on Tuesday night.

Hi,
This morning I received an email from AT&T with the unlock instructions. After completing all the steps, surprisingly I did not receive any kind of message in iTunes saying that my device would be unlocked by now. After putting the foreign SIM card to my iPhone I received the 'SIM card not valid' message. Tried to restore multiple times but there is this this error popping up.

If you received the email this morning, I believe that it says to wait 24 hours for the unlock process to update.

Those are not factory unlocked so if you do any IOS update, it will relock the phone. It is best to have it factory unlocked by Apple.

Actually, it doesn't say anything like that. Anyway, am I supposed to just wait 24hrs and repeat the steps shown in the email?
