Hello @FranceGirl,

We'd be more than happy to take a closer look into why you have not received your unlock request confirmation email. It can take up to 2 business days for us to respond to your device unlock request. Check back if you filed your unlock request in less than 2 business days. Because the link in your confirmation email expires in 24 hours, you will need to submit another wireless unlock request on our Device Unlock Portal if that amount of time has already passed. Let us know if you do not receive your confirmation email again and we'll be happy to help.

@Anonymous

You are not under a service contract.  Att hasn’t offered service contracts for 2 years 9 months.   Your only obligation is current bill and paying for your phones.

You keep using the word ‘illegal’, which is incorrect.  Unlocking is voluntary.  However ATT isn’t honoring the CTIA agreement if your phones are eligible and they can unlock, but fail to do so.  In which case filing an FCC complaint is the way to go.

They cannot unlock all phones.  That’s a fact. First iPhone, Fire phone and many other older phones are unsupported.

Hello @TineVer,

We'd be more than happy to assist you with checking the status of your unlock request. We understand that you have recently received assistance with unlocking your device over the phone and that you were given a case number. This case number is not used to check the status of your unlock request online. Have you previously submitted an unlock request with our Device Unlock Portal? If not, please review our Unlock Eligibility Requirements to be sure that your AT&T device is eligible for use on another wireless network, and Learn how to submit an unlock request here. After submitting an unlock request, you will receive a confirmation email with a request number that you can use, along with your device's IMEI to Check Your Device Unlock Status. Let us know if this helps.

Hello @hlv123.

We’ve got answers. The current request will cancel out within 24-48 hours since there has been no email confirmation. At that point you can resubmit the request. You might want to try using an alternate email address if you have one. Thanks for reaching out to us on Forums!

The model number is A1660 - it seems it should work.

If it is a A1660 then yes it will work on Verizon.  If it was bought from a ATT store its not a A1660 tho.  @edcuccia sold sim unlocked or not the a1660 will work on any carrier once you get it unlocked from ATT.  Best Buy sells phones under the us flex retailer program so they only stock one model and it locks to the first sim card installed in the phone except verizon since they don't sim lock phones except prepaid.

@Thipayaporn You should not have had your friend buy from Best Buy or put the ATT SIM card into it. He should have bought the sim free version from Apple. Regardless, to get your phone unlocked: https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/#/, but don’t be surprised if your request is denied.

Phones can only be unlocked online.

Go here: https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/#/

Follow the instructions and request the unlock as a "non-customer" if the phone isn't currently being used on an AT&T line.

Hello @St2302,

We can definitely assist you with submitting another unlock request. The link that is included with the unlock request confirmation email expires in 24 hours. Since 24 hours has already passed, and your unlock request has been canceled, you can now submit another wireless unlock request with our Device Unlock Portal. Please let us know if still don't receive the confirmation email for this next unlock request, and we'll take a closer look.

Hello @olivierLA75,

We can definitely provide you with some more information about the unlock process. The cell phone will need to meet all of our Eligibility requirements before it can be unlocked. One of the requirements is that the device needs to be active for 6 months with PREPAID service, or 60 days with postpaid service. To check and see that all of the eligibility requirements have been met for your wireless device, we recommend that you contact the original seller for more information. Once you've confirmed that all of the requirements have been met, you can Submit an unlock request with our device unlock portal. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

@julandi22 ATT unlock portal link below. If the phone meets the requirements to unlock, you can unlock the phone. Submit the request as “Not ATT customer”.
