How to remove the IMEI from the blacklist

Hi! I bought a new Iphone without a carrier in the US that has been put on the blacklist by mistake. I'm the legit owner, I bought it in an apple store and I have the invoice. The report says it was reported by AT&T USA because it was stolen or lost but I have never had an account with AT&T and the phone hasn't been stolen or lost. Could anyone help me to remove the IMEI from the blacklist? As I said, I have the invoice to prove I bought it legally.

That’s a poor answer.  If AT&T blacklisted the phone, then they need to be the ones to remove the phones from the blacklist.  Sending them to Apple to fix AT&T’s error isn’t the answer.

@Alepe  File a complaint with the FCC.  It’s likely that someone at AT&T entered the wrong IMEI number.

As you mentioned that you have never had an account with AT&T, and you bought the device from apple. I would request you to contact Apple Store they will assist you further.

We can get in touch with you and get the IMEI. However, we need to authenticate the account holder and then proceed in removing the blacklist.
 
Please ask the account holder to contact our customer service team at 800-331-0500. Post the authentication the phone can be removed from the blacklist.

ATTHelp isn’t going to help you.  They obviously didn’t read your posts saying that you are the original owner of the phone, bought it from Apple, and never had an AT&T account.  Their “answer” of them telling you to have the account holder contact them is nonsensical, based on what you’ve written.

Please just file a FCC or BBB complaint.

FCC and BBB complaints with an email address for contact.  They won't do calls out of USA.
