How to Activate Service on a New Device

I had an iPhone 5S and a iPhone 4 before that). I just got thr iPhone 6, but for some reason, even thoguh I shut down my iPhone 5S fully before turning on and backing up from iCloud my new iPhone 6..... the new iPhone 6 is not 'registering" my phone number?

It just shows "No Service" in upper left corner.

Ideas?!?!

When you click the link again does it say your new phone is already activated? If so try turning your phone off and back on again. If that doesn't work, try popping the SIM card out and back in.

I believe Premier is working again this weekend.

Thanks! I was able to communicate with another customer service and this is how they solved it.

The activation site still gives me that ACT005 error, and I never got a menu for activation when I called in.  Now I'm waiting for a human.  *sigh*

I know this issue is solved. But there is some instances the sim card in new iPhone needs to be activated. It happened to me, I went to my local AT&T Corperate Store to check phone out, I called that activation number, but no service. The AT&T rep activated sim card with something, and BAM it worked, rep told me mine was the second iPhone she had to activate sim card.Smiley Very Happy

I have a new phone for my daughter, a new SIM from AT&T, old phone is off, attempted activation. Got this error: "The number you entered is already activated. If this is the number you intended to activate, you're all set. (ACT005)". Phone has "No Service". Powered off/on and reseated SIM with no luck. Now I am on the phone with AT&T on-hold to have them manually activate the device on Christmas Day so my daughter can use her new phone. This exact issue happened last year on a different device replacement. Why can't this be done on-line!!! NOT HAPPY.

I got two phones to activate today, Christmas Day, and to change over two other phones (all iphones). Nothing worked the way it was explained, there is no customer service, and there is no online help.

After waiting on hold for 40 minutes, I hung up.

This is simply unacceptable, especially when folks like myself bought your phones one month ago with the expressed intention of having the phones work on the Chirstmas Day.

Glad to have only bought into the monthly plan, as after a decade of ATT, maybe it's high time for a change. The customer lack of service is an embarassment. No such problems when receiving my payment.

Very, very upset over this debacle - please get your act together or follks like myself and the many others who have posted here will vote with our feet.

I just get:

ACT107 : Looks like there aren't any numbers eligible for activation on the associated account.

...which is clearly not true since i am holding the new iphone 6 in my hand and i bought it outright. any idea why this is not working?

I'm trying to activate my new iphone 6s plus and I keep getting the same error message that you were getting. "ACT107 : Looks like there aren't any numbers eligible for activation on the associated account." I've been trying for hours. Did you ever figure out what the problem was?? I'm guessing that I will have to wait until morning and call when they open. *sigh* What a complete waste of my night...and with no success. 😕

Learn how you can activate a device online if you purchased it with a new wireless or GoPhone account, an upgrade, or added a new line to your wireless account.
