Hey there @glad4jesus, we'd be happy to provide you with further options for replacing your SIM card. 

 

You can get SIM card kits at one of our stores, online through att.com, or from another online retailer. The kits come with three SIM card sizes. You can use it if you want to bring your own device to AT&T, or if you just need a new physical SIM.

 

If you're needing to replace a SIM card for AT&T prepaid services, you'll need to buy your new SIM online or at an AT&T store.

The phone in question is on the AT&T Unlimited Starter Plan. The sim card was lost and I need to replace it. All options I am getting are for pre-paid phones or for how to activate a new sim card. I need to actually purchase one before I can activate it. And I REALLY don't want to go to the AT&T store unless that is my ONLY option.

Yes I need help to get a sims card for my sons phone , this phone is a replacement for the phone that got broken , he dropped it and the horse he was working with stepped on it , I went to a AT&T store in mulberry, fl and was told that they didn’t have sims cards and haven’t had them in about 4 months , the guy there told me that AT&T was doing away with the sims cards “ really” and was told to go to Walmart and purchase a pre-paid card “ really” ,, I am on a plan , and my son is on my plan , I have been a customer with AT&T for over 30 years , was also told by this guy that I could go to other AT&T stores and see if they have any sims cards , I may have to re-think AT&T as my provider if this is what AT&T is doing for customer service now days , the phone that needs a new sims card is a Motorola G5 

please help me with this matter , thank you

I spent 6+ hours trying to order a physical sim card on the AT&T webpage. I was never able to figure out how to do it. I spent more than an hour in AT&T chat, but the agent was never able to figure out how to do it. I spent more than an hour waiting on hold for phone customer support, was disconnected 4 times, and was never able to get to anyone who could figure out how to order a physical sim card from AT&T's  webpage.

After 6+ hours of trying, it turns out that the answer actually is:

You can't.

That's right, you CAN'T actually order a physical sim card from AT&T online, even though AT&T's help articles EXPRESSLY state that you can:

"

Get a replacement SIM

Time for a new SIM card? You can go to an AT&T store, order one online, or purchase one from a local retailer."

And why would that be? 

Why would AT&T deliberately and intentionally lie to its customers about how to order a physical sim card?

Well, if you spend hours online at AT&T's website trying to order a physical sim card, you will be bombarded by AT&T offers and sales pitches, offers to upgrade devices and service plan, spam ads for internet service, additional wireless service, etc etc etc. 

AT&T doesn't care that its customers are wasting tens of thousands of hours fruitless following AT&T's express directions. All AT&T cares about is getting more money for more services from its customers, and AT&T is fully willingly to lie to its customers to get it.

EPIC FAIL. 

DESPICABLE.

WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT EVER!

You are either ordering a SIM card for an existing line of service which you do through your own account.

Or you're ordering a SIM card to bring your own device to AT&T either on an existing account or a new account.
