Hello @Johnelrog, we're here to help get your hotspot connected.

Let's look at a few troubleshooting steps you can follow:

  • Check that Personal Hotspot is turned on in Settings > Personal Hotspot. Swipe down right from the notification panel and make Personal Hotspot Discoverable.
  • Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS.
  • On the iPhone or iPad that provides Personal Hotspot, go to Settings > General > Reset, then tap Reset Network Settings. Note: Be advised that resetting network settings will erase all saved Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and connection settings, these connections will have to be added back after the process is completed.
  • Restart the iPhone or iPad that provides Personal Hotspot and the other device that needs to connect to Personal Hotspot.

Potential reasons why your hotspot may not be working could be either exhausted data or the device you connecting to is not connected to the internet.

We’ll, I spoke too soon.  The hotspot worked for an hour that day and hasn’t worked since.  What on earth to do now?

Let's work together to help you in getting connected to your hotspot @Johnelrog!

If you are having issues with your iPad hotspot, you can try the following:

  • Check that Personal Hotspot is turned on in Settings > Personal Hotspot.
  • Check that your wireless carrier enabled Personal Hotspot and that your wireless plan supports it.
  • Restart the iPhone or iPad that provides Personal Hotspot and the other device that needs to connect to Personal Hotspot.
  • Disable and enable Wi-Fi on iPad.
  • Disable and enable Airplane mode.
  • Reconnect the hotspot after forgetting it.

Potential reasons why your hotspot may not be working could be either exhausted data or the device you connecting to is not connected to the internet.

Well, I’m trying to log in but that’s not working either!  I haven’t changed my email or password, so I have no idea what’s wrong now
