Help with ordering a replacement phone

Hello I am currently deployed right now so I cannot call, but I’ve been having issues with my phone freezing and the screen turning black. My phone is currently turned off also since I’m deployed so I was wondering how I’d go about ordering a replacement since there isn’t a store here to get it looked at? Please let me know. Thank you!!

Unfortunately, ATT won’t ship overseas. Do you not have a military exchange store available? Otherwise, you can try other sources, you don’t have to buy from ATT. Also, being deployed doesn’t necessarily prevent you from calling. If your phone is able to roam, you can call the international support number free from your mobile phone.

Everything is closed due to covid. could I have my mom go into the store and talk to them and have her ship a replacement to me? And then I’ll ship her this one back and she can take it back into the store? Is that a possibility or am I just going to have to deal with this one for a couple more months?

There's a very limited amount of time to return defective phones true warranty or Insurance replacement. You would be far better off purchasing a phone where you are. Or shipping the phone to your mother first. Neither AT&T nor Asurion will take a phone back late, they would just charge you for it

Since you posted in the Apple forum, presume you have an iPhone. If your phone is under warranty, you need to contact Apple for a warranty replacement. If you are replacing under insurance, you need to contact Assurion. Either way, ATT won’t take the phone back.
