Government alerts on my iPhone XS

Hi All,

I have my AT & T phone number on my iPhone XS on the eSIM and not a regular SIM card.

On the Apple support page (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202743), there is a conversation where it says that Government Alerts can be found under Settings->Notifications. I can't find it on my iPhone. The support article also says "*Government Alerts are supported when using a SIM card from a supported carrier.".

So, my question is: Why am I not seeing the "Government Alerts" section in my Notifications? Is this because my AT & T number is on the eSIM or is this because AT & T doesn't support government alerts?

Thanks!!

ATT supports them. I see the government alerts section and I do get them. You need to scroll all the way to the bottom. If you don’t see them, maybe it is due to the esim. Is the esim number your primary number? I have an XR, so my phone does have an esim but I’m not using it.

It’s on my phone under Settings>Notifications, at the very bottom of the app list, so yes AT&T does support it.

Yes, eSIM is my primary number. So I assume it must be that.

Thanks.
