Getting a locked iPhone 7

I'm thinking of getting an iphone 7 from at&t, and paying full price for it. Does this automatically lock the iphone to at&t, and if it does, can i still use my old at&t sim card and plan on the iphone? My plan is prepaid. I believe my sim card is too big for the iphone 7 sim card slot, do i still have to get a new sim card or does the iphone 7 come with a sim card i can use and put my old plan on?

If you buy any iPhone from ATT, yes it is locked to ATT. Yes, you can use your old SIM card in the new phone if its the right size. I don't know if the iPhone will come with a SIM card or not. If it does, yes you can transfer your current number and plan to that SIM card. If a SIM card does not come with the phone, you can get a new one free from any ATT corporate store.

@thebookthief01 If you want it unlocked, buy it from Apple!
