Fees international calling plan

After international calling plan is on phone, and call without Wi-Fi is made it’s $10.00/ 24 hour period… is this correct?

Are there any other extra calling fees:

charged for local?

Distance within country?

Overseas?

What is best solution for calls:

The travel will be for up to 2 years.
Phone is NOT paid off so I cannot put in a sims card for local calls in the new country.
Thank you for responses!

Assuming this is a consumer account not business, you are charged $10 for any 24-hour period in which you make or receive a phone call, send a text message, or use mobile data while you are roaming outside of the AT&t coverage area.

What do you mean by  local?

Distance within country?

Overseas?

If you are outside of the USA that is roaming. You would want the international day pass roaming plan added to any lines that are outside of the USA. You would only be charged for any 24-hour period in which you use your phone.

So if you are roaming in France and you call using your cellular phone and use data and send text messages to people in the United states, people in france, people in Italy people in Japan this is all roaming and it is all subject to the $10 per day charge.

Nope, nope, nope. Pay off the phone and cancel your AT&t service by porting your phone number to Google Voice. That way you can still keep your phone number and Port it back to a physical service provider when you return. I don't know where you'll be traveling, but it's highly likely that whatever you will save on service will make up for having to pay off the phone. Of course once you pay it off you unlock it and take it with you. Or sell it and buy a phone overseas. But it is unreasonable to possibly have to pay an extra $100 a month for 24 months on top of your regular AT&t service charges that's $2,400
