I am trying to recover my old number. I hope you can help.. I swapped my phone, then restored the phone to factory settings.. and lost my number

You'll have to contact AT&T to have them redownload your e-Sim 

This is not how you do that. This is strictly a customer populated forum. The only response you get from AT&T is to contact them directly

1.  Go to att.com/suspend. (https://www.att.com/suspend)

2.  Select Reactivate next to the suspended device.

3.  Follow the prompts to reactivate it.
